Civil Rights Bus Tour

Join the Community Church of Chapel Hill Unitarian Universalist on a bus tour to Montgomery & Selma Alabama to visit museums, memorials and significant sites to learn about the civil rights movement.
Friday, March 27
Depart from Chapel Hill, NC for Montgomery, AL
Saturday, March 28
After enjoying the provided breakfast at the hotel, the group will tour the Rosa Parks Museum and Lowndes Interpretive Center NPS. You will then make your way over to Selma to walk the Edmund Pettus Bridge and visit the Selma Interpretive Center and Voting Rights Museum.
Sunday, March 29
Have breakfast at the hotel before heading over to Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church for morning worship. Following the service, you will have free time to enjoy lunch before joining back up with the group to visit the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum. The day will conclude with group sharing at the hotel.
Monday, March 30
One last included breakfast at the hotel before boarding the bus to head back home to NC.
